In 2015, our founder started helping houseless Hawaiians with jobs and basic necessities — no corporate backing, no investors, just one person who believed everyone deserves a chance. That grassroots effort became a movement, and that movement became Innovative Capital Hawai'i.
In 2020, after five years of helping houseless Hawaiians with jobs and necessities, our founder pivoted to helping families achieve homeownership using creative financing and rent-to-own strategies. He funded it all himself, because banks and lenders put him on the back burner.
What started as helping became a movement. 86 families housed. 33 homes on O'ahu saved from foreclosure through financial restructuring and ADU income. All using the same methods — now automated through iCAP Underwriter.
In 2025, he built Innovative Capital Hawai'i — not as a financial lender, but as a real estate advisory and deal structuring intelligence platform, so everyday working people have the same opportunity to grow and give back. Our core method is the Ahupua'a Mindset: AI technology, Hawai'i real estate solutions, creative financing, and community — all in one app.
"What really gave us relief was knowing the founder went through this same deal himself. He shared his manaʻo with our ʻohana openly, without charging thousands of dollars like everyone else we talked to. It felt genuine — like someone who truly understands and just wants to help local families get through it."
— Jordan L., H2O Program Participant
We're not here to sell you something — and we're not a lender. We're here to help local families navigate the path to homeownership and financial stability through advisory and deal structuring — whether that's through our Helping Hawai'i's Ohana (H2O) Program, ADU development, or our iCAP Underwriter deal structuring tool.
Hawai'i is different. The housing market, the culture, the way we take care of each other — it all matters. We speak the language, we know the challenges, and we're committed to solutions that work for our community.
Some of our greatest success stories started with people who had been overlooked or counted out. We believe everyone deserves a chance, and sometimes all it takes is someone willing to invest in them first.
"I was going through some hard times. I lost my job and was living on the beach. One day the founder just asked me if I like work. I said yeah. I didn't even work that day — he took me to lunch just to talk story.
He taught me the ropes for free. I was able to get out of my situation. That was 3 years ago — I own this house now. Still feels unreal. I'm just grateful someone saw something in me when I couldn't see it myself."
— Leilani K., From Homeless to Homeowner
To help Hawai'i's families build wealth, find stability, and achieve homeownership — one ʻohana at a time. We're not a lender — we're advisors and deal structurers following the Ahupua'a Mindset. Our internal capital participation is select and limited. Our real impact is multiplying the power of every dollar our partners deploy.
